Sound Insulation in Green Building

According to world green building council, green building means a building that reduces or eliminates negative impacts and can create positive impacts on our climate and natural environment in its design, construction and operation.

It covers reducing energy use and waste, improving water efficiency, recycling, improving sound insulation, keeping harmony with the environment, creating flexible structure. Every nation has its own specific standards for assessing a green building. Due to the climate change and extreme weather in recent years, more and more attention is paid to green building.

And there is a standard for evaluating the indoor sound insulation level. The standard for wall soundproofing level and floor soundproofing level is different. But our acoustic underlayment can be used either in wall, ceiling or floor. The underlayment materials are usually recycled resources, which is sustainable. Different materials and specification are in option for different green building classes. And the underlayment will make the building structure resilient and flexible.
